The beginning of May has been very intense for the DUAL project, particularly in terms of interaction with other initiatives.
On 5 May, we were in Pamplona/Iruña to take part in the annual meeting of the Interreg POCTEFA Thematic Communities. Within DUAL, we are part of the group focused on the challenges that climate change poses for the cross-border community. As one of the few initiatives that places coastal adaptation at the heart of its actions, we took on the responsibility of representing this area. During a packed day, we had the opportunity to learn about the new projects supported by POCTEFA and, above all, to share strategies for facilitating knowledge transfer and jointly designing training, communication and outreach activities.
The very next day, on 6 May, we visited the Fishing Museum of Palamós at the invitation of the Pyrenees Mediterranean Euroregion. There we discovered the projects recently approved under the second call of the AFLE space. It was a pleasure to meet the colleagues from the CostaFlora project, with whom we have already begun to build ties to improve the effectiveness and impact of our respective projects, which are fully complementary.
These were intense but very productive days, laying the groundwork for generating synergies and strengthening the cohesion of the POCTEFA community.
