The DUAL project’s commitment to coastal adaptation will include the organisation of exchange sessions to help local authorities, both technical staff and elected officials, to understand the obstacles and levers of action in the restoration of urban maritime fronts.

These two sessions will be held in Calafell (Spain) and in Sainte-Marie (France). During these sessions, the results of the diagnosis drawn up will be presented, knowledge and experiences will be exchanged between participants to promote increased resilience and adaptation of coastal fronts to current dynamics.

Expected dates:

Furthermore, and with the aim of increasing citizen awareness and sensitisation, two workshops will be organised: one in Calafell (Spain) and another in Sainte-Marie (France) to collect the perceptions of users and present them to local authorities. Citizen awareness and knowledge are considered key to the development of the project’s actions, as the acceptance of the measures and their knowledge can promote and contribute to their success.

Finally, an exhibition will be created to summarise the testimonies of workshop participants.
